    When I started working on this second album in 2019, I was really nervous that I wasn’t going to be able to capture the honesty of my first album “Just B”, which literally was my life story! With “Just B”, I had written those songs throughout my life - in fact, four of them were songs I wrote 30-40 years ago! But, they all came together beautifully to tell my story.

    “Just B” ended with “Flesh and Bone” which was inspired by our amazing Manchester Pride experience. And after we returned to the states, it seemed like hate and injustice were becoming commonplace. It didn’t feel like a place I recognized anymore and “The Tourist” became the first song on this new album.

    After The Tourist, I have a song about how we as a society are constantly craving more and another about the bigotry that seems to be so unapologetically everywhere nowadays. Then in “Naked As We Came”, I talk about how, if we could just come together and honestly communicate with each other, the world would be an amazing place.
    “Scars” is completely about my husband. After we went into the 2020 Quarantine Lockdown, my husband and I found ourselves grateful to be given the time to come together and reconnect. We were working so much and always on the go. That time with him was what I needed in my life to pull me out of that funk I think we all went through. I am great by myself, but I am so much better with Brian.

    The album ends with “Leveling Up” celebrating my journey of growth in recent years. This song is about how every single day we have the chance to be better! Every day is another opportunity to the best “you” you can be and keep on “Leveling Up”.     ... more

I am so excited for people to hear my newest album, Leveling Up, in its entirety that I decided to also release the full album exclusively on Bandcamp on April 30th!
